Violet Hills 10th Annual Sale Report

The sale was conducted by Elders Bathurst branch in conjunction with Elders stud stock department with Brian Kennedy acting as auctioneer.

Buyers attended from NSW  with other buyers operating via phone and auctions plus from Qld, Vic and Tas as well as NSW.

Overall 29 bulls from the 36 offered sold by auction on the day with a top price of $10000.00 and an average of $6086.00

The top priced bull was Violet Hills Plantagenet (P) (R/F) who is a polled bull sired by Violet Hills Jolly Joker (P) out of Violet Hills Gabrielle(P). His grand dams, on both sides of the pedigree, were both sired by Pouriwai Sonny who was imported by Violet Hills from New Zealand some time ago.

Platagenet is a bull with a magnificent temperament, calving ease in the top 5% for the breed, fattening ability in the top 10%  and a Domestic Index in the top 1% for the breed.

Plantagenet was purchased by long time Violet Hills clients, Bryden and Maria Perry, "Rothsay", Byalong Valley, NSW
